These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Way – Trivia (the “Service”), operated by The Way Games (“we,” “us”). By using the Service — including playing, hosting a venue, or managing a TV display — you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Way – Trivia is a Bible trivia game you can play on the web and, where available, on companion TV apps. Venues (such as churches or cafés) may register a branded page, run live games, and show the game on a screen. The Service is for education and entertainment. It is not pastoral counseling, professional advice, or a substitute for reading Scripture in community.
You must be able to form a binding agreement under the laws of your place of residence. The Service is a general-audience, family-friendly product. It is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian, please help younger players choose a display name that is not their real name. See our Privacy Policy for more on children’s privacy.
You agree not to:
We may filter names, remove content, reset boards, suspend venues, or refuse service when we believe these Terms have been violated or when needed to protect the Service or others.
Some features let you provide content we host and display:
You retain whatever rights you have in that content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, and transmit it solely to operate and promote the Service (including on venue TVs and player devices).
You represent that you own or have permission for everything you upload, including logos and promotional images, and that your content does not infringe copyright, trademark, or other rights. If we receive a valid complaint or otherwise find a problem, we may remove the content without notice. Copyright complaints: see our Copyright / DMCA policy.
The game software, branding, question bank, layouts, and related materials are owned by The Way Games or our licensors. You may not copy the question bank or rebrand the Service as your own product. Scripture text shown in the Bible reader comes from third-party sources under their own terms; when a translation requires a copyright notice, we display it near the text.
If you host a trivia night at a physical location, you are responsible for the venue, safety, local rules, and any prizes or promotions you offer. Unless we expressly say otherwise in writing, The Way Games does not sponsor, underwrite, or run prize drawings for your event. Follow applicable sweepstakes and advertising laws for anything of value you give away.
Scores and display names may be shown publicly on venue and global boards. Inappropriate names may be filtered or removed. You can request removal of a leaderboard entry by emailing contact@thewaygames.com.
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Live games depend on internet connectivity at the venue and on players’ devices. We may change features, timing of rounds, or discontinue parts of the Service. We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that questions, explanations, or citations are error-free; always verify important matters in Scripture and trusted teaching yourself.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Way Games and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50). Some places do not allow certain limits; in those places our liability is limited to the maximum allowed by law.
If your use of the Service or your uploaded content causes claims against us (for example, copyright claims about a logo or TV ad you uploaded), you agree to defend and indemnify The Way Games and its operators against those claims to the extent allowed by law.
How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
